Operational, Publication, Preliminary: the stages of the Cadastre
The country's cadastral survey did not happen everywhere at once — each area is at a different stage. The stage determines how “final” the data you see is.
Προκαταρκτικά — Preliminary (purple on the map)
An early stage of the survey: parcel boundaries have been formed from processing the declarations, but have not yet passed public review. Descriptive data (use, ownership) is usually not yet available.
Ανάρτηση — Publication (yellow on the map)
The survey data is posted publicly so that owners can check it and file any correction requests or objections within the prescribed deadlines. This is the critical stage for catching errors before they become final.
Λειτουργούν — Operational (blue on the map)
The area has an operational Cadastre: the first registrations have been recorded and the competent Cadastral Office now keeps the sheets and diagrams. Changes (transfers, encumbrances, etc.) are registered there.
