How to find a property's KAEK
The KAEK is requested in almost every property transaction — from drawing up a contract to filing the E9 tax form. If you don't have it handy, here are the ways to find it:
1. In the property documents
On recent contracts, cadastral extracts and cadastral registration certificates the KAEK is always shown. On the E9 form it appears if it has been filled in.
2. Free on the map (kaek.app)
The fastest way: open the map, locate the property (you can switch to satellite imagery for easier orientation) and click on the parcel. The KAEK appears together with area, use, easements and the number of vertical/horizontal properties.
3. By area search
If you know part of the code, kaek.app also accepts prefixes: 9 digits show the whole cadastral section and 7 digits the whole sector on the map. See how a KAEK is read.
4. At the competent Cadastral Office
For an official confirmation, contact the local Cadastral Office or the online services of the Hellenic Cadastre (ktimatologio.gr), where official extracts are issued from the KAEK.
